Origin note
戚 is one of the clearer fief-name surnames in this batch. The main source-backed account traces it to the Ji-surname ruling house of Wei: descendants of Wei Kangshu and Wei Wugong produced the Sun lineage, and the Wei minister Sun Linfu received the Qi fief, located at Qicheng in today's Puyang, Henan. His collateral descendants took the fief name as the surname Qi. Surname references also note that the Qi line later moved east into Shandong and south toward the Jiangsu coast, and that only in later Ming-Qing periods did Manchu and Mongol adoption layers appear. The page therefore presents the Wei-Sun-Linfu fief origin as the main line, with later ethnic-adoption layers kept separate.
